The other half of Us.
The other half of OBK would be me; I'm Pippa.
So where to start? Well the beginning I guess - the reasons behind why and how I am who I am today.
It is fair to say, that this time a year and half ago, I was a bit of a mess. Okay a lot of a mess. My life consisted of late nights, parties with lots of alcohol; basically a very unhealthy mind, body and lifestyle. My style was pretty lost and non existent due to being either too tired to bother, or too hungover to care. This couldn't be any further to where or who I am now.
Then I met Elvis, and as cliche as it sounds, my life completely changed. A year and a bit on, we are the strongest team you will ever meet, and so brings us onto today.
I consider style to be an important part of me these days, as it is so refreshing to look in a mirror and see a well groomed reflection; the person I am happy to be, and the person I want to be. To quote Elvis (my Elvis not Presley);
Going back to the note us us being a team; how many girls can say that their fiance has patiently coloured their hair for hours to get the perfect ombre colouring? Two nights in a row as well thanks to my indecisive nature. And may I also add, he did a great job!
My wardrobe has a pretty consistent and basic colour scheme; everything black, white, greys, creams, nudes and camel, with all varieties of denim.
A key item are black skinny jeans - they go with everything and can be worn in so many different ways! Topshop Joni are by far my favourite, and I'm on my fifth pair!
Crisp white shirts, knitwear, layering, with trainers and boots alike are all a must for me. I love the concept of juxtaposing tailoring and trainers, as well as throwing the chunkiest and cosiest knit cardigan over the strappiest cami top, finished with a pair of Raybans with a heavy 'hardwared' bag. I definitely just invented a word.
In terms of makeup; well it used to be very basic. One foundations and mascara thrown on, just because it was the done thing. I couldn't have cared less about the brand, or the illusion it was meant to create on your face. There was no skill or thought involved at all. These days, I have discovered a whole new world, and feel like a magpie released into Aladin's cave! I love the way a whole new look can be created by simply swishing an eyeliner in a slightly different direction, or by applying highlighter to a different part of your face. I don't think I will ever have 'too many' nude/brown lipsticks, even when my make up bag does hit overflow.
That is enough about me for now, so in the meantime, thank you for taking the time to stop and read through our blog, and please watch this space as there is plenty more to come!
