Capsule Wardrobe: AW'16

This Season , I have decided to take more of a methodical approach to my wardrobe update, rather than the over excited impulse buying action I seem to have adopted in previous years. My Summer wardrobe is a prime example of this, as it all is now over on Depop!

I feel that I have grown up somewhat in the last few months, and this is definitely starting to be reflect ted in my style. Finally, after 25 years, I know what suits me, and know what doesn't. I have accepted that I am not one of those girls who can pull off adventurous and experimental dressing as I once wished or thought I could.

So with this approach, I have been keenly exploring in preparation for some capsule buys, creating that classic and ready to wear wardrobe I've always lusted over. In an effort to incorporate some of the Season's trends, I have been stepping a toe or two outside of my comfort zone, cue statement boots, Gucci with it's ruffles, volume & bright, rich hues; as well as falling back into the safety net of distressed denim and a plain T.

* I absolutely love the way a different cut of jeans, or fit of basic T can completely alter the outfit of choice.

Here are the 11 pieces which I believe will be the core of my wardrobe, not only this Season, but for many to come. I have included versions from my favourite brands at the moment. All pieces from Misguided, Asos, Topshop, Zara, H&M!

Now comes the tedious task of whittling down the key pieces to be the first additions to my wardrobe; no doubt the next week will be full of procrastination and careful planning. But at the end of all the meticulous analysing and choosing, I will be launching our YouTube channel with a Haul of the pieces which have made it to the final cut.

Which are the key pieces to your wardrobe this year?

As always your feedback and thoughts on these are always welcome!
